Sometimes all it takes is one person to come up with a good idea to help raise money!
The People’s Truck started this way!
Now we get lots of people coming to us with their own ideas about how they can help The People’s Truck – and we love it!
We would like to share some of these ideas with you, so that you might consider taking up the challenge yourself!
Here are some great ways to get involved:
- Tell your friends, family and colleagues about The People’s Truck . You can even email them a link to our new website where they can make online donations: www.thepeoplestruck.com.au
- Can you ask your neighbours to throw in together and register your street name?
- Why not register your pet’s name? There are some interesting names out there, and funny ones too!
- Are you a member of a sporting club or team? They can register their club emblem!
- Do you attend a mother’s group, play group, book club, knitting group, yoga class, or other interest group? Perhaps you can pull together for a registration.
- Think about handing the hat around the lunch room at work, and register a name that represents you and your colleagues.
- Approach your child’s school about holding a gold coin mufti day and register the school name or emblem.
- Does your club or school have a newsletter? Could you ask to have The People’s Truck mentioned?
- Honour a loved one that has passed on by having their name or even a photo put on The People’s Truck.
- Mention us, and the opportunity to advertise through us, for a good cause, to your employer or even local businesses you frequent.
- Could you organise a lolly jar guessing competition, sausage sizzle, swear jar or other fun activity with a group and raise enough to have a name registered?
Family Fitness FUNdraising Day
Don’t forget the Family Fitness FUNdraising day this Sunday 20th October, 3pm at South Werri Beach Gerringong. Come along with the kids for some fun boot camp beach games, kids activities, a sausage sizzle and drinks. Laughter is guaranteed! Great social event hosted by Giavanna Stewart of EnerGi Fitness.
